🎉 April 2025 Release Notes

🚀 What’s New?

New Experience Triggers: Copy & Highlight

We’ve introduced two new display rule parameters for experiences: Copy and Highlight. These can be used individually or together to trigger an experience when a user either copies or highlights content on the page.

These actions often signal exit intent—for example, when someone is about to search for the product elsewhere. Now, you can jump in with a timely message like a â€œLeaving so soon?” overlay offering a reward to encourage them to convert on your site instead.

Ideal for keeping users engaged at the critical moment!

🔧 Improvements

Accessibility Upgrade: Sign-Up Overlay

We’ve made important updates to improve accessibility in the sign-up experience:

  • Screen readers (tested with macOS VoiceOver) now announce error messages, such as invalid email entries.

  • The error message position and copy have been revised for better visibility and clarity.

  • keyboard focus indicator has been added to highlight where users are when tabbing through the overlay.

These changes help ensure that all users, especially those relying on assistive technologies, can navigate and interact more easily.

Referrer Overlay Email Input

We’ve made it easier for users to complete referrals by allowing them to manually enter the referrer’s email on the Referrer overlay and inline template. This is especially useful when the system can’t automatically pass the referrer’s email.

Referral Logic: Email Address Validation

To maintain referral integrity, we now prevent users from entering the same email address for both the friend and the referrer. While this isn’t explicitly surfaced to the end-user, it ensures proper usage behind the scenes.

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Template Switching Restriction Fixed â€“ Previously, it was possible to change the experience template on both published and draft experiences. This should have only been allowed on drafts. That’s now been corrected.

  • CSV Batch Email Delivery Issue â€“ We’ve resolved an issue where some users weren’t receiving CSV batches of codes via email. In those cases, the files had to be regenerated manually—but now this bug has been fixed and emails should arrive as expected.
