πŸŽ‰ Introducing Our Enhanced Permissions

We’re excited to announce the launch of our enhanced permissions that allow for more customised access control across different roles in your platform. This update enhances how you assign and manage user access, making it easier to give team members the right level of control based on their responsibilities.

Why This Matters

Previously, users had only three permission levels: AdminEditor, and Viewer. While this was simple, it didn’t offer the flexibility required for teams with varied responsibilities. With this update, you can now assign more specific roles such as Promotion EditorExperience EditorLoyalty Editor, and Referral Editor.

This means:

  • More Granular Control: You can give team members the ability to access only what they need, without worrying about giving them too much or too little access.

  • Clearer Role Separation: Different team members, like those responsible for promotions vs. those working on UX design, can now focus on their areas of responsibility.

  • Role Flexibility: You can assign multiple roles to a user, allowing you to customise permissions based on their tasks.

  • Multiple Role Assignments
    In addition to being able to set a single role per user, you now have the option to assign multiple roles to any individual. This ensures the right level of access for each team member, streamlining collaboration.

  • UI Improvement for Role Selection
    A subtle UI change ensures that roles now only update when you press Save, reducing accidental changes and ensuring better control over role assignments.

 

Note: 

  • If the role you have assigned can View Promotions, the user will also be able to:

    • View attributes, product catalogue, product groups, and promotion insights.

    • View and manage date limits files.

  • If the role you have assigned can Edit Promotions, the user will also be able to:

    • Manage attributes, product catalogue, product groups, third-party codes, and integrations.

    • Edit and manage tags, manage translations, and import promotions.

 

Log Out Requirement for Permissions Update

Please note that when a user's permissions are updated, they will be logged out and prompted to log back in. This ensures that permission changes take effect. We recommend making these updates at the start or end of the day to minimize disruption. If you need to update permissions for many users, please contact your Customer Success team to assist with this process.
