Editing an Experience After Publishing
You can make changes to your Experience at any time - but remember: Changes are not live until you publish again.
Even if your Experience is already live, any edits (to design, rules, content, etc.) will stay in draft until you click Publish again.
You'll see an amber indicator on the step you've edited. To go live with the update:
-
Click back into that step.
-
Save your changes.
-
Return to the Publish step and hit Publish once more.
Important: If you press Save & Continue but don’t publish, your Experience may stop showing. That’s because there’s now a mismatch between your saved state and the last published state. Either publish your changes, or undo them to match the last published state.
Tip: Want to Edit Without Disrupting a Live Experience?
Use the Copy function to duplicate your existing Experience. You can then make changes in the new version without affecting what's currently live.
Once you're happy with the updates:
- Use Schedule Rules to stop showing the original Experience (e.g. set an end date or rule to hide it).
- Set your new version live with updated targeting or start time.
This gives you full control — no downtime, no surprises.
